Schedule NowWhy Consider Shockwave Therapy
Proven benefits backed by science
Reduce Pain
Shockwave therapy stimulates multiple mechanisms that reduce pain including stimulation of nociceptive c-fibers.
Increased Vascularization
Stimulates neovascularization - forming new blood vessels from existing ones. This increase in blood flow helps improve healing.
Increase Collagen Synthesis
Promotes procollagen production, essential for repairing damaged musculoskeletal and ligament structures. Results in denser, stiffer, and more robust tendon fibers.
Destroys Calcifications
Generates pressure that dissolves calcium deposits in chronic tendon issues, which are reabsorbed by the body, alleviating inflammation and pain.
How Does Shockwave Therapy Work
Understanding the science behind the treatment
The Science Behind Healing
When you suffer from chronic pain, your body can lose its ability to recognize an injury in that area, leading to a halt in the healing process and no relief.
The Shockwave device uses ballistic sound waves that penetrate deeply into your soft tissue, creating micro-trauma or a new inflammatory response in the treated area. This stimulates your body's natural healing mechanisms once again - changing your body's response from chronic to acute.
Additionally, the energy from the device prompts cells in the soft tissue to release biochemicals that enhance the healing process, leading to the formation of new microscopic blood vessels.
